Hands-On Skill Building
We believe in action. Participants don't just hear about gun safety, they practice it. They don't just learn about habitat, they learn to identify it. Our hands on sessions in gun cleaning, shooting fundamentals, dog handling, and outdoor safety build tangible, practical skills for the field.
Real World Mentored Hunts
The ultimate classroom is the field. Our hunts are carefully guided mentoring experiences where youth apply their skills alongside experienced hunters. It's where they learn to be patient, observant, and resilient, all while creating memories that solidify a lifelong passion.
Community Partnership & Events
Our hunts and outdoor events, like ice fishing with the Core Angling Group, are more than outings; they are opportunities to connect with fellow community members who share a passion for the outdoors. These experiences foster a network of conservation-minded individuals who support and learn from one another.
Our Passion
We are a community organization with a conservation heart. Fowl Frontier exists to strengthen bonds between families, nature, and our hunting heritage. By involving families in the learning process, we create a shared language of safety and stewardship.
Our coaches and mentors embrace the spirit of conservation by dedicating thier time to ensure that the values of ethical hunting, safe firearm training, and habitat protection are passed along. Participants gain essential wildlife habitat preservation knowledge while learning safe bird hunting practices under guided mentorship. Together, we empower a new generation dedicated to protecting natural resources and traditions.

Conservation Education
Hunting and conservation are two sides of the same coin. Through partnerships with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Montana Raptor Center, we offer immersive educational sessions. Participants learn directly from wildlife managers and experts about wildlife management, habitat preservation, and the critical role hunters play in sustaining healthy ecosystems.
Family Centered Education
Learning is a family affair. Our sessions are designed to involve parents and guardians, creating a common foundation of knowledge and safety that extend beyond the program. We empower families to feel confident and comfortable enjoying Montana's hunting opportunities together.
The Path to Proficiency
Every expert was once a beginner. Our step-by-step instructional method, led by certified shotgun coaches, ensures a solid foundation. We cover the fundamentals. This includes everything from eye dominance and gun fit to patterning and live fire on the range. Our focus is building muscle memory for safety and confidence that lasts a lifetime.
Community Engagement & Involvement
The story of our program is written by our amazing community partners. From the fundamentals taught by our certified instructors at Gallatin Sporting Clays and the critical ethics lessons from a local Montana FWP Game Warden, to the awe-inspiring conservation message from the Montana Raptor Center, every step is a community effort.
